Hazleton area cruised to a 10-0 win over Crestwood in a game played April 19.

Ashlee Oleginski and Casey Borum had singles for the lady Comets. Borum was the losing pitcher.


Crestwood lost to host Dallas, 15-5, in a baseball game played on April 14.

Curt Yenchick doubled and Derek Disasio drove in two runs for the Comets.

Jared Witner took the loss for Crestwood.

Crestwood lost to Hazleton area, 3-1, in a close game played April 19.

Derek Sistasion had a home run for the Comets. Yenchik and Matt Darden had hits for Crestwood.

Markowski took the loss for the Comets.


The Crestwood boys’ volleyball team shutout visiting Dallas 3-0, in a match contested April 14. Scores were 25-22, 25-13, 25-17.

Chris Dexter led the Comets with 13 assists, seven service points and three digs while teammate Jake Niewinski chipped in 10 digs, seven assists, and four kills.

On April 17, Crestwood lost to host Coughlin, 3-1. Scores were 25-23,22-25, 12-25, 13-25.

Kyle Price had 20 assists and 10 points for the Comets while Chet Manship recorded 13 kills and 10 points.


The Crestwood girls’ lacrosse team lost to visiting Wyoming Seminary, 17-6, on April 16.

Lizzy Dessoye scored three of the lady Comets’ six goals. Paige Zaleppa saved five for Crestwood.
