In tennis, Crestwood captured their first win of the Wyoming Valley Conference season on April 8 with a 3-2 victory over host MMI Prep.
In singles, Robbie Shovlin defeated Billy Spear, 6-4, 6-2. The Comets swept the doubles as the team of John Andrews and David Madl captures a 7-5, 6-2 straight set win over Lew Dryfoos and Mike Eisenhart. At the No. 2 spot, Chris Fazzini and Christian Malkemes cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Katie McGuire and Evan Spear.
Crestwood lost to Wyoming Valley West, 4-1, a match contested April 9 at Hamilton Park.
The Comets’ only win came in doubles as the team of Fazzini/ Malkemes defeated Matt Fennigan/ Anthony Barbose, 6-0, 6-3.
The Crestwood girls’ lacrosse team lost to visiting Del Val, 18-6, on April 10.
Daniella Callaghan led the lady Comets in scoring with three goals. Lizzy Dessoye and Morgan Kile each tallied two.
On April 10, Crestwood defeated visiting Lake Lehman 12-10.
Dessoye scored seven goals for the lady Comets in the win. Also adding to scoreboard were Callaghan with two, and Kile added one. Kile recored an assist along with Brandy Jones and Paige Zaleppa.
Emily Anderson had six saves in the win.

Berwick, 5-3, in a Wyoming Valley Conference game played April 9.
Chase Jones hit a homerun for the Comets while Brian Markowski had two hits. Anthony Caladie and Curt Yenchik each had a hit.
Markowski took the loss for Crestwood.
Coughlin dominated Crestwood en route to a 12-2 win on April 10.
Yenchik and Derek Distasion each had three hits for the Comets.
Caladie was the losing pitcher.
