Living Stations To Be Presented At St. Jude’s ParishApril 13

High school students will present the Living Stations on Palm Sunday, April 13, beginning at 7 p. m. Parishioners are invited to come and walk with Jesus on the Way of the Cross and witness the youth of the parish bring Sacred Scripture to life.

St. Jude ‘s Parish is inviting parishioners to gather each week to reflect on the call to conversion. In Conversion: Following the Call of Christ,” Fr. Robert Barron helps us to understand this call by examining six stories in Scripture. Each session is designed for approximately one hour. The majority of the session will focus on Fr. Barron’s DVD. There will also be a short presentation on one of the secrets of confession, based on the book 7 Secrets of

Confession by Vinny Flynn. It is not

necessary to read the book for this presentation. The remaining dates and times for these sessions are as follows:

The Rich Young Man -Confession is Never Really Private -7 p. m. on April 10 at St. Jude’s.

Journey of the Magi -New Wine Needs New Skin -You Have to Let Go of Your Chains -2 p. m. on April 13 at St. Jude’s, 7 p. m. on April 15 at St. Mary’s. Discussions and DVD will not be held at St. Jude’s on April 17 due to Holy Thursday.

Easter flowers will be sold after all Masses at St. Jude Church on April 12 and 13. Proceeds will benefit the Youth Ministry. The selection will include tulips, hyacinths, mums, and lilies.

The Pilgrim Virgin Statue will be at the home of Susan and Robert Paoletti through April 12. For more information, call Gloria at 868-5346.

All the faithful of the Diocese are invited to attend the Chrism Mass at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton on Tuesday, April 15 at 4 p. m. At this Mass, priests from the Diocese will renew their priestly promises before the Bishop, and the oils to be used for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, and Holy Orders will be blessed.

Extraordinary Ministers of Communion are invited to attend the Holy Thursday liturgy on April 17 at 7 p. m. and be part of the “Honor Guard” for the procession with the Blessed Sacrament to the chapel of Reposition in Father Nolan Center. Please contact the Parish Office if attending.

Parishioners ages 21 and older are invited to save the date of Friday, April 25 for a Night at the Races in the school cafeteria. Doors will open at 6:30 p. m. Post time will be 7 p. m. The theme is A Run for the Roses. Ladies are invited to wear their Derby hats. The cost is $10 per horse, ten horses per race (includes admission). There is a $5 admission without sponsoring a horse. All proceeds benefit the building fund. The deadline for all ads in the booklet is April 16. Donations of door prizes and gift baskets are welcome.

The following items are needed for the Mt. Top Food Bank: canned fruit, jelly, mayonnaise, peanut butter, dressings, carrots, coffee, tea, noodles, syrup, hot chocolate, jello, popcorn, mustard, and macaroni and cheese. Please drop off the items in the annex part of our church. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Weekday Masses at St. Jude’s are Monday through Friday at 7 a. m. and Wednesday at 12:10 p. m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 a. m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p. m. at St. Jude’s and 5:30 p. m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a. m., 9 a. m., 10:30 a. m. and noon at St. Jude’s and 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s.
