Let’s go to the park! SonRise National Park is the setting for this year’s Vacation Bible School. We just had our first Leader’s Meeting on Monday, March 24, reviewed the theme and ironed out who’s taking care of the different stations.
The “trip” to SonRise National Park is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, through Thursday, July 17. While it seems there’s plenty of time before July 13 rolls around, there’s still so much to decide. The park will be set up at Emmanuel UCC, this year’s host church. The logistics of turning a Fellowship Hall into the great outdoors is our next challenge.
Plus, we are still deciding what our mission project will be. There are so many to choose from, but we try to find one that is something that the kids can relate to. That way they see that anyone at any age is able to help others.
Our next meeting is scheduled for April 28 at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall at Emmanuel. Everyone with ideas and enthusiasm is welcome to help us carry out our plans. Mark your calendar and come with us for a terrific trip to the great outdoors!
You are invited to join us on Wednesday evenings during Lent for supper and worship. We share a light meal in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm and then gather at 7:00 pm in the church for service. Whether you can come for supper or not, please gather with us as we worship our God and Savior, reflecting on the amazing gift of salvation offered to each of us.
On Sunday mornings, we start with Sunday School at 9:00 am for group time and then divide up for lessons, games and crafts. After Sunday School, we meet at 10:30 am for Worship Service. On April 6, the greeters will be Dave and Rosemary Myers and our liturgist will be Jill Bernetski. Come, join us for worship this Sunday.
