AUTHOR TELLS TALES OF NITTANY LION DURING NATIONAL MONTESSORI WEEK -The Wyoming Valley Montessori School celebrated National Montessori Week with a special visit from author Denise Kaminsky who has written a number of children’s books featuring the Penn State Nittany Lion. Her writings include “Nittany Lion has the Hiccups,” “Nittany Lion gets a Big Surprise,” and “Nittany Lion Tells the Legend of Princess Nit-a-Nee.” Mrs. Kaminsky worked with the students explaining her writing techniques, ideas for illustrations and the process from early sketches to the final product. A question and answer period followed the presentation and readings.
