Kind and Loving

Jacqueline Gallagher, 81, died peacefully in her home in Mountain Top on March 22, 2014. She was surrounded by her family who loved her greatly.

Born Jacqueline Ann Bullock, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Gallagher; her four children, Joseph Jr., Sharon, Cindy and Kevin, and their spouses, respectively, Nancy (Twardzik), Bob Klass, Tony Collazo and Kim (Kendra). She has five grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Katie, Briana, Corey, Brady and Jacob. Her aunt, Mildred Pavlik; her sister, Shirley (Bullock) McNellis; and her family, including many nieces, nephews and in-laws that will miss her presence in their lives.

She was born in Trenton, N. J., and graduated from Trenton High. She lived the early part of her married life in Hamilton Square, N. J., and moved with her family to Mountain Top in 1967. It is here that she created and nurtured her many friendships. She participated in a weekly card club with her neighbors and loved to bowl.

Jackie, as her family, friends and those who loved her knew her, enjoyed a long life full of laughter and love.

She worked many years at the

American Tobacco Co., Dana Perfume, Friedman’s Express and most recently Kaufmann’s, which later became Macy’s. She made many friends and remained in contact even after her retirement. She loved her work, her jobs and the friends she made.

Jackie was forever a kind and loving woman. She always saw the best in people and truly loved to learn about them, their lives and families. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and lifelong friends. She was a great friend to many and will be truly missed by all who knew her.

The viewing was scheduled Tuesday, March 25 from 4 to 7 p. m. Tuesday at McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. The funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a. m. Wednesday in St. Jude Church, 420 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. Those wishing to attend the Mass should proceed directly to the church Wednesday.

John (Jack) Henry Smith Jr

U. S. Marine Corps Veteran

John (Jack) Henry Smith Jr., 64, Mountain Top, died Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Jack was born in Orange, N. J., on December 12, 1949 to Rosemary Smith and the late John Henry Smith Sr. He attended Roselle Catholic High School. He served in the Marines from 1968 to 1970 aboard the USS America as a sergeant. He was in car sales since 1974 and worked at Coccia Ford and Marcum Motors until his retirement.

Jacked loved fishing and he loved all animals. He loved to help those who were less fortunate giving them money if he saw them looking in need. He will be missed by many.

Jack was predeceased by his father, John H. Smith Sr. He is survived by the love of his life for 33 years, Debra Smith; his mother Rosemary; his brother Phillip and his wife Diane and their daughter Jillian; his sons John H., III, Brian and Michael; daughters Shannon and Shawn; several grandchildren and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

McCune Funeral Service, Inc. Mountain Top, handled the arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made in Jack’s name to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre.

Dorothy H. Falcetano

Lifelong Resident

Dorothy H. Falcetano, 88, died Wednesday, 19 March 2014 at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Alabama.

Dorothy was a lifelong residence of Mountain Top until she moved to Alabama to live with her son and family.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Anthony, and wife Theresa, of Toney AL, granddaughter Tonya and two great granddaughters, Hailey and McKenzie of Madison AL. Funeral services will be held 10:30,

29 March 2014 at Calvary Cemetery, Drums, PA. Friends and family are invited to attend.
