ST. JUDE’S KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CONTEST WINNERS

ST. JUDE’S KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CONTEST WINNERS -The Mountaintop Knights of Columbus Council #6440 recently sponsored its annual Substance Abuse Awareness poster contest for students ages 8 through 14. The posters were to reflect the theme of Alcohol Awareness and Abuse or Drug Awareness and Abuse and be an original design. The winners were determined by a scoring system reflecting how clearly the slogan was presented, how well the visuals conveyed the message, and how effective the poster was in capturing your attention and causing you to reflect on the topic. The students of St. Jude’s were commended for their adherence to the contest rules and regulations. All students who submitted posters received Certificates of Participation. Sophia Bere and Emily Thomas were selected as Grand Prize winners. They were awarded gift cards from Barnes and Noble and will move on to the regional competition. First Place certificates were earned by Anna Capaci, Taylor Josefowicz, Morghan Murphy, Nadia Saeed, Connor Spencer, and Maria Strish. Shown, front from left: Thomas and Bere.
