Author LeAnne Brogan To Discuss Her Books At White Haven Area Library

Local author LeAnne Brogan will be at the White Haven Area Community Library to discuss her two books, Inside Amy: Adults and Eating Disorders and After the Bell Rings on Thursday, March 13 at 6:30 pm.

Her discussion will focus on Inside Amy, a personal account of her own struggle with anorexia nervosa from her teenage years to the health crisis her disease caused following the birth of her first child and through her recovery. She has become an expert on eating disorders and has spoken to various groups on the subject. Ms Brogan will also provide information on treatment and support groups for a treatable condition that many people may not consciously realize is affecting their lives. There will be a question and answer session following her presentation.

Her second book, After the Bell Rings, honors the students she works with at Drums Elementary/Middle School, who played a vital role in her recovery process. She will have copies of both books for sale and will be happy to sign them.

Ms Brogan was born in Hazleton and now resides in Freeland with her husband and two sons.

The program is appropriate for adults and students fourteen and older. It is free and open to the public.
