Tuesday, March 18
Teacher & Educator Workshop: PA Songbirds Curriculum; 9 am–3:30 pm
PA Songbirds is a state-specific curriculum aimed at both formal and nonformal teachers of grades K-12.Participants will explore background information of songbirds and participate in hands-on activities focusing on birds, bird identification, people, and bird habitat. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will receive the curriculum book. Dress for being both indoors and outdoors throughout the day and pack a lunch. Friday, March 21
Boy Scout Bird Study Merit Badge: Part One; 6 –8 pm
The first of two sessions (Part Two will occur Saturday, May 10 from 9 AM –1 PM) in which boy scouts complete all the requirements necessary to earn the Bird Study Merit Badge. Scouts must attend both sessions to earn the badge. There will be required course work to complete on your own time between sessions. Register by calling 570-403-2006. Free.
