Hoops For Hope

The Crestwood School District and Mountain Top Relay for Life will present the 6th Annual Hoops for Hope at Crestwood High School March 18th. Doors open at 5:15pm. Games begin at 6:15pm Teachers, students and law enforcement will participate in a charity basketball event. During the games, teams from the Mountain Top Relay for Life will have individual tables selling various items in the cafeteria. Refreshments will also be available for purchase. T-shirts can be purchased by March 10th for $8 by calling Dawn Marie Chalk at (570) 262-6229. At the conclusion of the games, names will be pulled to cover a teacher in silly string. Monies collected will benefit the Mountain Top Relay for Life. Call Luke Modrovsky at (570) 905-3201 with questions.

Chicken & Waffle Dinner

There will be a Chicken and Waffle Dinner at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mountaintop, on March 22 from 3:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. (eat in or take out). Costs are Adult $9; Children ages 5-9 $4; and Children under 3 are free. The dinner will include chicken in gravy and waffles, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, beverage and dessert. Benefit Bingo at St. Jude’s

On Sunday, March 23, there will be a vendor bingo in the cafeteria at St. Jude School. Doors will open at 1 p. m. Bingo starts at 2 p. m. Featured vendors will be Vera Bradley, Longaberger baskets, Tastefully Simple, Park Lane jewelry, and more. The cost is $20 for 20 games plus $1 specials games. All proceeds will benefit Nick Legge’s continued physical therapy at Project Walk this summer. For further information, please contact the school office at 570-474-5803.

Crestwood Baseball Fundraiser

Come out to support the 2014 Crestwood Baseball Teams and meet the new coaching staff on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Dorrance Inn from 7:00pm -9:00pm. Tickets cost $20.00 per person and can be purchased in advance or at the door. Tickets include beer, wine, soda and food.
