WILKES-BARRE ACADEMY STUDENT COUNCIL RAISES MONEY FOR HEIFER INTERNATIONAL-Wilkes-Barre Academy students had a dress down day to raise money for Heifer International. Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. Kindergarten through fourth grade students celebrated by wearing their pajamas to school while middle school students dressed in red and green to kick off their winter break. The school collected over $390 in donations which will be used to purchase animals such as cows, chickens, goats or honey bees.
