The congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Mountain Top encourages you to join them for worship this week. The following is a brief summary of upcoming worship and service opportunities.
Sunday Church School begins at 9:30am
Pastor Michele D. Kaufman leads Sunday worship services at St. Paul’s at 8:30 am, and 11:00 am. The Church office (570-474-6616) is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The Organist/Director is Christine Katsock.
Pastor Kaufman is in the office Mondays 10:00am-2:00pm
Communion will be on February 16th.
The 2nd Christian Concert Series, as promised, will be held at St. Paul’s Church, Saturday, February 22, 2014, 6:30-8:00pm. The Performer and guest is Richard John Lutz.
Making A Difference Ministries will present 2nd part Free Concert Series will feature Richard John Lutz , Local Recording Artist from Northeastern, PA, sole performing artist in concert will be held at: St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mountain Top.
The church is hosting this concert and is open to the public and there is no cost for admission.
Richard will be performing original material and some favorite as he brings 34 years of acoustical experience to the table. It is a Spirit filled, statically charged musical presentation that is sure to warm your bones and touch your heart.
The presentation in musical form of the Gospel through a mix of Christian contemporary, folk and blues and will impact you long after the last note is played.
A Valentine event will be held Saturday, February15. To celebrate we are gathering at the Church for fellowship and dinner gathering for Appetizers at 6 pm. Italian fare is being offered at a minimal cost. Please bring a appetizer or dessert. There is a sign up sheet in the Narthex.
Life Line Screening will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. Thorough ultra sound, it can detect where your carotid arteries for the buildup of fatty plaque, which is a leading cause of strokes.

Annual Blood Drive -Please consider the gift of life by donating Blood on February 25 at St. Paul’s Church from 1:00pm-5:00pm
Paint Class -Lois Scott, Teacher, Classes February 24th at 6:00 -8:00pm. A small fee is charged and materials and paints are supplied. No Experience is necessary. Come have a fun filled evening, and amaze yourself.
There will be a Chicken & Waffle Dinner on March 22 from 3:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. (eat in or take out). Costs are Adult $9; Children ages 5-9 $4; and Children under 3 are free. The dinner will include chicken in gravy and waffles, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, beverage and dessert. Sign up delicious Hoagies!! Order Deadline is Sunday February 16. Pick up Hoagies Thursday, February 20 by 9:00 am. The cost for each is $3.50. In March due to the increase in the cost of ingredients the price will be $4.00.
Pysanky Egg Class will be held Sundays -February 23rd to April 13th 2014
Clean-Up is April 13th Palm Sunday –Time: 2:00 -5:00 pm
Pysanky egg classes will be offered again during Lent at St. Paul’s. Beginners are welcome! There is a sign up list and a materials list on the table outside Pastor’s office. There is a one-time cost of $6.00 for materials Ginny supplies. Ginny Hildebrand has been decorating Pysanky on and off for 30 years. She knows many ways to destroy an egg and learns new ways each spring. She has also created quite a few keepers, and looks forward to introducing you to this beautiful folk art form.

Evening Bible Study, “Book of Faith”, will be held at 7pm on February 24th.
On Friday and Sunday Nights, AA meetings are held at 7:00 pm. and Thursday nights, NA meetings begin at 6:00 pm. On Wednesday nights, Weight Watchers are held at 6:15pm
Open to the Public : Every Monday at Wright Manor in Mountain Top there is a Bible Study with Pastor Michelle Kaufmann at 2:00 pm.
Food Bank is open every Friday of the year, from 9:30am-12:00 pm
