Three new members have been welcomed to the Advisory Council of St. Jude School. This council provides the principal with advisory and consultative direction on educational and financial matters according to diocesan guidelines, and provides an opportunity for community involvement.
Deacon Gene Kovatch has a Bachelor’s Degree from King’s College and a Master’s Degree from the University of Scranton. He taught English in the Wilkes-Barre School District for 32 years. In 1999, he was ordained a Permanent Deacon in the Diocese of Scranton and currently heads the Pastoral Outreach program at St. Jude Parish.
Jerome Dvorak currently serves as the Executive Director of the Bloomsburg University Foundation, Inc., where he leads the fundraising and endowment management activities. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Juniata College, The Easter Seals, and The Staring Place. Mr. Dvorak has extensive experience in the financial services and investment management arenas.
Stephen Tedford obtained his Doctorate in Mathematics from Binghamton University. He is a member of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Society. Dr. Tedford is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Misericordia University.
