Wilkes-Barre General Hospital Seeking New Volunteers

Wilkes-Barre General Hospital’s Volunteer Department is looking for friendly and courteous people to serve the community by donating their time and efforts to northeastern Pennsylvania’s largest community hospital.

The department is seeking adult men and women, seniors and church and school service groups to work flexible hours as Hospital Greeters and Adult Volunteer Aides. Other volunteer functions include assisting visitors in the surgical waiting room, answering phones, making deliveries, and taking the Volunteer Hospitality Cart to patient rooms.

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience that provides an opportunity to learn new skills, develop new interests and make new friends. For information or to sign up, call Volunteer Coordinator Daria Kochanievich at 570-552-1199.
