Wyoming Seminary Students Receive HOBY Award
HOBY AWARD RECIPIENTS-Wyoming Seminary Upper School students Ryan Guers of Orwigsburg and Nicole Wert of Mountain Top have been selected to represent Sem at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation leadership.

Nicole Wert of Mountain Top and Ryan Guers of Orwigsburg, sophomore students at Wyoming Seminary Upper School, have been selected to serve as Sem’s representatives to the annual Hugh O’Brian Youth Foundation Leadership Seminar (HOBY), to be held this spring at Millersville University.

Wert is the daughter of Ms. Beth Ann Wert. Guers is the son of Mr. Steven Guers and Dr. Michelle Guers of Orwigsburg.

For more than 40 years HOBY, a non-profit, non tax-supported youth leadership development organization, has worked to help young people make a difference and become positive catalysts for change in the home, school, workplace and community. Each year, more than 20,000 high school students participate in about 88 leadership seminars held throughout North America.

Wyoming Seminary is an independent, coeducational day and boarding college preparatory school located in northeastern Pennsylvania; it enrolls 450 students in grades nine through 12, as well as a postgraduate year.
