70’s Flashback the 8 piece show band performing the most accurate reenactment of the greatest music of the 1970’s, will once again kick off their concert dates this year with a free abbreviated show at the Laurel Mall in West Hazleton. The show will take place at the mall Saturday, January 18th at 2:00pm. Last year’s performance drew one of the largest crowds ever assembled at the mall.
Mat McGasko musical director and keyboard player for the group said, “We love showcasing the show at the mall. It gives us an opportunity to see what material works best. Plus it gives our area fans a sneak peak into what they can expect for 2014.
70’s Flashback has been receiving overwhelming acclaim throughout North Eastern Pennsylvania. Their playing is so much like the artists, you feel like you are listening to the original sound track. The true 1970’s music fan is blown away after experience the 70’s Flashback Show.
70’s Flashback consists of eight incredible singers and musicians. Serving as Musical Director and Keyboard Player is Matt McGasko, Lead Male Vocalists are Richie Molinaro and Mario Jordan, Lead Female Vocalist and Vocal Arranger is Joelle Witner. Lead Guitar and Lead Vocalist is Rich Sachse and on Rhythm Guitar, Mandolin and Lead Vocals is Tim Malchitsky. Bass Guitar, Banjo and Vocals is Mike Manganelli and on Drums, Dave Bott.
The next scheduled local performance will be an encore show at Capriotti’s in McAdoo. The last performance in November at Capriotti’s was a completely sold out event. This March 22nd performance will benefit Leadership Hazleton. Also scheduled will be a concert performance at the Wiltsie Performing Arts Center in Hazleton. This show will be billed as “The Ultimate Greater Hazleton 1970’s Class Reunion.” All area high school’s will be invited to celebrate a combined class reunion at the “Castle”. Classes from 1970 to 1979 plus the show will be open to the general public.
70’s Flashback will also be returning to Knoebels Amusement Park. Dates to be announced. Last year’s performances brought rave reviews from fans across Northeast and Central PA. Also scheduled is a performance at this years Nuremberg, PA Hometown Festival, Sunday, August 31st.
