White Haven Library To Sponsor ‘Beauty And Beast’ Theme Party

The White Haven Area Community Library will launch its own version of the popular “Princess Teas” as part of its new programs for 2014. On Sunday, January 19, the library will sponsor a “Character Party” for children ages three and older at the White Haven Methodist Church hall from 1:30-3:30. Children from three to five must be accompanied by an adult.

The event, themed “Beauty and the Beast,” will offer children an opportunity to dress in their best, practice etiquette, and develop social skills while having fun. Beauty and the Beast will host and greet children for an afternoon that includes a retelling and performance of the well-known story, crafts and games, prizes, and suitable elegant refreshments. Each child will also have a commemorative picture taken with Beauty and/or the Beast.

Tickets, which are appropriate as stocking stuffers or gifts, are available for $20.00 at the library, located at 99 Towanda Street in White Haven. For more information, call the library at 570-443-8776.

Make reservations by January 12 for this first in a series of dress-up “Character Parties” for the young and young at heart!
