The Christmas Eve Candlelight celebration is scheduled at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, December 24, and will include the sacrament of Holy Communion.
Before our service, members will glorify God and praise him with music and song beginning at 7:00 pm We welcome everyone to come and celebrate the birth of our Savior. Christmas is a wonderful time to recommit your life to the Lord and renew your faith. We listen to the Christmas carols, singing of the birth of the King, the hope of peace on earth, the joy of new life, the wonder of God’s love and the fulfillment of the promises of the prophets. All this, wrapped up in the tiny life born to a poor young girl and her betrothed “blue collar” fiancé.
There’s a song that asks “What if God was one of us?” The secret is that he was –just like one of us. The child born to Mary grew up as a normal youth and matured into a regular man. That is, until he was about 30 years old. Then, he showed the world who he really was and his true purpose. God’s gift of salvation became one of us so that God himself would save us. (Isaiah 63:9 and Hebrews 2:17) On Christmas we remember that Love was born that night. A love that would envelop the world with the hope of peace and new life. Come and witness again the birth of the Prince of Peace.
On Sunday mornings, we start with Sunday School at 9:00 am for group time and then divide up for lessons, games and crafts. We then meet at 10:30 am for Worship Service. On December 8, our greeters will be Dave and Rosemary Myers and our liturgist will be Brooke Rinehimer. Come, join us for worship this Sunday. Upcoming events:
