He added, “I also issued a permit to Montdale Logging.” Snelson advised that the Olyphant-based company is, “going to do a commercial timbering project to clean out some selective timbering at the Ashley Skeet Club.”

He noted that there was no business before the planning commission in November.

The residents in attendance were reminded that the surveys being used to update the township’s comprehensive plan are still available. They will be accepted through the end of the year.

In other business, the board voted to hire accountants Grevera & Associates to conduct the 2013 audit at the cost of $3,200.

The 2014 Budget was approved producing a balanced approach with income and expenses of $551,957. The financial blueprint retains a tax rate of .0064.

The board will reorganize on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 7 pm with the first regular meeting of the year immediately following.
