In appreciation for all of the assistance and support given to the students of St. Jude School by the priests and parishioners of St. Jude Parish, Principal Jeanne Rossi initiated the “Penny Power” program. Throughout the school year, students will be donating pennies for this special project.

The Parish of St. Jude is currently conducting a campaign to raise funds for the construction of a new church. Pennies donated for this project will be used to purchase something for the new church and a plaque stating that the item was a gift from the students at St. Jude School.

The program was presented at a school assembly where the eighth grade students led a cheer calling on each grade to respond –“We’ve got pennies, yes we do, we’ve got pennies, how about you? We love St. Jude’s, yes we do, we love St. Jude’s, how about you?” The pennies will be weighed at the end of each month to follow the students’ progress.
