Crestwood Sports Scan

The Crestwood boys’ soccer team lost an exciting game, 2-1, in overtime against host Coughlin on October 1.

Alex Buchholz scored the Comets’ only goal. Lance Lysiak had 15 save in the loss.


The girls’ soccer team trounced host Nanticoke, 6-0, on October 1.

Olivia Termini led the lady Comets in scoring with two goals and assisted on another. Gabby Termini also added two goals in the win.

Also scoring for Crestwood were Rachael Lackenmier and Hailey Langford. Keeper Meg White had eight saves for the lady Comets.


In a WVC volleyball match, Crestwood defeated visiting Dallas, 3-1. Scores were 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 25-10.

Olivia Jankowski powered the lady Comets with 29 assists, 22 service points and four digs. Nicole Jankowski added 15 kills, 14 service points and five aces.

Taryn Wojnar contributed with 14 digs and four kills.

Crestwood shutout visiting Hanover 3-0 on October 2. Scores were 25-3, 25-11, 25-10.

Nicole Jankowski paced the lady Comets with 19 service points, six kills, and four digs while Olivia Jankowski chipped in with 10 service points and 10 assists.

Wojnar added 10 service points, three digs and three kills. Emily Sipple finished nine assists, seven service points and three aces.
