Area Piano Teachers Receive MTNA National Certification

Five area piano teachers were recognized by MTNA grants Certification to validate an individual’s qualifications for a specific field of professional practice. It signifies commitment to continued excellence in professional practice, builds credibility, provides a goal for personal professional achievement and validates expertise for the individual and to those outside the field.

Upon fulfillment of these standards, applicants are granted the MTNA Professional Certification credential with the designation, Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM). The MTNA Professional Certification Program exists to improve the level of professionalism within the field of music teaching. Certification helps readily identify competent music teachers within the community.

MTNA recognizes that these teachers have made a commitment to continuing education throughout their teaching career. Teachers certified by Music Teachers National Association include Valerie Grabiec, Andrea Bogusko, Mountaintop; Michele Millington, Mountaintop; and Ray Cramer. Yvonne Alling and Judith Fedor also received certification.
