The popular local teen duo Zeppo will perform at the Marian Sutherland Kirby Library for teens ages 12-18 on Friday, October 4 from 7:00-9:00. Fight the Future: a Night with Zeppo will mark the first teen concert held at the library! Zeppo became a favorite act during the Teen Open Mic Nights that have been held for the past two summers as the closing for the Teen Summer Reading Program.
Pat Walther and Matt Lee, both 17 year old seniors at Crestwood High School, are the members of Zeppo which was formed in 2008. Both boys dreamed of being musicians since elementary school and now their dream is a reality. Their music is self-described as indie-folk with both members acoustically playing guitars and singing.
Pat Walther has been writing music ever since he learned how to write. He taught himself to play the guitar with John Lennon being a huge influence on his musical aspirations. Matt has been playing the guitar since the fourth grade and is described by Pat as being the best guitar player in the Crestwood School District.
Zeppo is constantly working on new material and occasionally puts out CDs. They are currently working on a new one.
