Wright Board Raises Issues On Safety Recreation

 

At  the  Wright  Townshipsupervisors’  meeting,  on  Monday, September  9th,  Chairman  DanFrascella  reported  that  the  policedepartment  responded  to  303incidents  last  month.

He  advised  that  a  number  ofthose  incidents  relate  to  thefts  fromvehicles  reported  in  the  Timberwooddevelopment.

Frascella  cautioned  residents, “If  you  have  cars  parked  in  yourdriveway,  please  make  sure  that  youdon’t  have  any  valuables  in  it,  andplease  be  sure  that  you  keep  yourdoors  locked  at  all  times.”

The  board  also  ratified  theagreement  with  Crestwood  SchoolDistrict  for  the  Cops  In  Schoolprogram  at  a  cost  not  to  exceed$ 31,200.

Supervisor  Gerry  Uram  reportedthat  the  Recreation  Committee  isplanning  for  a  Mountaintop  HealthWalk  on  October  19th,  starting  at10  am.  The  Red  Cross  has  agreed  toparticipate  in  the  event.

“The  Summer  Park  ProgramDirector  Steve  Waskie  reportedthat  66  children  registered  for  thisprogram.  He  also  made  suggestionsto  make  the  program  better  for  thefuture,”  Uram  explained.
