The Crestwood field hockey team powered their way to an 8-0 shutout over host Delaware Valley last week.
Lizzie Dessoye led the lady Comets with two goals and an assist. Also scoring for Crestwood were Marissa Surdy, Hannah Ackers, Sam Gerski, Ashleigh Thomas, and Hunter Pittman.
Kendra had four saves in the win.
The lady Comets added another win when they defeated visiting Dallas, 7-1, on September 5.
Thomas led Crestwood with a hat trick. Maury Cronauer chipped in with two goals while Daniella Callaghan and Pittman also added a goal. Kile had two assists.
Kendra had five saves for the winners.
In tennis, Crestwood shutout MMI Prep, 5-0, on August 29.
In singles, Kristi Bowman, Brittany Stanton and Jenni Snyder won for Crestwood.
The doubles teams of Stephanie Maichin and Christina Maichin along with Rebecca Price and Devon Distasio also recorded wins for the lady Comets.
On August 30, Crestwood defeated GAR, 4-1.
For the lady Comets, Bowman and Stanton each won at the singles spots.
The Crestwood doubles teams of S. Maichin/C. Maichin and Jenny Snyder/Stacie Snyder also recorded wins.
Crestwood added its third win last week, 4-1 over host Pittston Area on September 5.
In singles, Bowman, Stanton and Snyder each won in straight sets. The doubles team of Maichin/Maichin won at the No. 1 doubles spot.
The Crestwood boys’ soccer team breezed past host Dallas en route to a 4-1 win on August 30.
In a balanced scoring attack, John Andrews, Dylan Perrone, Casey Ritsick and Kyle Gegaris each scored for the winners.
Lysiak had six saves for Crestwood.
Crestwood shut out host Hazleton Area, 3-0, on September 5.
Matt Wimpfheimer led the Comets in scoring with two goals. Also scoring in the win was Alex Buccholz.
Nicholas Ruiz was credited with four saves.
The Crestwood girls captured a 5-3 comeback win over Couglin in soccer on September 3.
With 25:24 left in regulation, Olivia Termini scored on a penalty shot and added another score to give the lady Comets a 5-3 win. Termini had four goals in the game.

Keeper Meg White stopped eight shots in the victory.
On September 5, Crestwood made another impressive comeback, with a 3-1 victory over visiting Hazleton Area.
Lady Comets Gabby Termini, Velehoski, and Morgan Kile scored in the win. Termini and Harley Langford had assists.
White saved four to preserve the victory.
The Crestwood girls’ volleyball team captured a 3-1 victory over visiting Lake-Lehman on September 4. Scores were 25-9, 25-20, 19-25, 25-17.
Olivia Jankowski led the lady Comets with 25 assists, 13 service points, eight digs and four aces.
Taryn Wojnar chipped in 10 digs, six service points and five kills. Emily Sipple followed with 14 assists, 11 kills, eight digs and five service points.
Crestwood fell to visiting Delaware Valley, 3-0, on September 6. Scores were 25-11, 25-11, 25-23.
For the lady Comets, Jankowski led the way with nine assists, 16 digs and five service points.
Sipple contributed with 10 assists, 11 digs and five kills.
