This year marks the 21st Anniversary of Eucharistic Adoration at
St. Jude’s. The Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Jeffrey Tudgay at 9 a.m. on Saturday, September 7. Breakfast will follow immediately
after Mass at Blue Ridge Golf Club. The cost is $11 per person.
All parishioners and friends are

The Movie of the Quarter illuminated the life of Mother Teresa,
the selfless missionary who brought hope, love, and salvation to
the poorest of the poor. A shrewd diplomat and an indomitable force, Mother
Teresa is willing to accept what
others deem impossible, fearlessly fighting for the unloved and forgotten. This film reminds us that even saints face hardships and that only we can depend on God and trust
Him to accomplish great things in our lives. The film will be shown Thursday, September 5 at 6:30 p.m. at
St. Mary’s and Sunday, September 8 at 3 p.m. at St. Jude’s Church.
Parishioners are invited to join the Social Action Committee at St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen in
Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, September 5 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.
m. Carpools leave from the Parish Center at 8:45 a.m. Call Jody or Artie at
Living with Grace are free Grief/ Bereavement Support sessions that are
being offered by the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center Spiritual
Care Team. They will be held on Thursday afternoons and evenings
from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. and
6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: September 5, 12 and
19. The sessions will end with a Memorial Service on September 26 at 6 p.m.

Parishioners are invited to join the
Youth Group at Sweet Frog in Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, September 8
from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. Students will be handing out flyers after all Masses
the weekend of September 7/
8. Take the flyer to Sweet Frog and
they will donate 25% of your order. All profits will be used for the Youth Group’s upcoming trip to the
National Catholic Conference in November.
The high school Youth Group will be selling fall mums after all Masses on
Saturday, September 14 and Sunday, September 15. Medium pots will be 3 for $12 or $5 each. Jumbo pots will be $15 each.
Religious ed classes will begin Sunday, September 15 and Monday, September
16. The opening Mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, September
15. The first weekend of classes will be a Family Day where students
and parents attend religious ed.
A catechist is needed for grades 6

Weekday Masses at St. Jude’s are Monday through Friday at 7 a.m. and Wednesday
at 12:10 p.m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday,
and Thursday at 8 a.m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p.m. at St.
Jude’s and 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:
30 a.m. and noon at St. Jude’s and
