Howton Completes Internship At NASA Research Center
HOWTON COMPLETES INTERNSHIP-Alexandra Howton, a student at Boston University, completed a an internship at the NASA Langley Aerospace Research Center.

Alexandra Howton recently completed a 10-week internship at NASA Langley Aerospace Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. Her participation was part of the summer Langley Aerospace Research Student Scholars (LARSS) program founded in 1986.

Under the mentorship if Research Aerospace Engineer Dr. Steve Miller, Alex contributed to the Aeroacoustics Branch under the Aeronautics Mission Research Directorate, completing a project and documentation on a prediction method for the noise produced by the trailing edge of a flat plate subject to subsonic turbulent jet flow.

Alex will start her senior year in mechanical engineering with an aerospace concentration at Boston University in the fall.

A 2010 graduate of Crestwood High School, Alex is the daughter of Matthew and Wendy Howton and brother to Zachary, all of Mountaintop.
