Wright Board Requests Meeting On Rice Twp. Fire Protection
MOONWALKERS Samantha and Lauren Kress had a wonderful time at the Sloucum Fireman’s Bazaar last weekend. The girls especially enjoyed the inflatable moonwalk.

 

In  a  brief  agenda  for  their  July  8  municipal  meeting  Wright  Supervisors,

 lead  by  Vice  Chair  Lou

 Welebob  in  the  absence  of  Dan  Frascella,  dispensed  with  department  reports  quickly.

Under  correspondence  Welebob  advised  that  a  letter  was  received  from

 Rice  Township,  “requesting  that  we  set  a  date  and  time  to  meet  with

 them  to  discuss  certain  items…  Basically  they  summarized  their  board’s  action  was  last  month  with

 regards  to  decertifying  the  fire

 company  at  Rice  Township.  However  what  they  are  asking  us  to  do  is  to  have  a  meeting  with  them  to

 discuss  the  reimbursement  to  Wright  Township  of  the  shared  cost  of

 Worker’s  Compensation  insurance  premiums  covering  the  members  of  the

 Wright  Township  Volunteer  Fire  Department…

“So  we  will  be  in  touch  with  Rice  Township  to  set  up  a  meeting  to

 discuss  those  items,”  Welebob  continued.  “Right  now,  we  do  not  have

 a  meeting  set  up  with  the  Rice  Township  supervisors…  Once  that’s  accomplished,

 we  would  be  able  to  meet  with  that  board.”
