Join us for Water Week at the PPL Susquehanna Riverlands. On Tuesday, July 16, from 10:30 a. m. to noon, we’ll go on a Pond Exploration. Small ponds offer water, food and shelter for animals such as turtles, frogs, insects and fishes. Most of the time, these creatures go about their daily lives, unobserved in their mysterious, watery domain. Arrive at the Susquehanna Energy Information Center for a brief introduction before heading outside to the ponds for some hands-on learning.
On Thursday, July 18, from 10:30 a. m. to noon, take a peek at the fascinating creatures that inhabit an 88-acre wetland in Wonders of Wetlands. This hands-on exploration is fun for the entire family. Parking Area on Hicks Ferry Road.
These free programs are offered to children ages 5 and up with an accompanying adult. Participants should wear old clothes and proper footwear, for there is the possibility of getting wet.
