Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Plodwick,

Conrad and Regina Plodwick of Lake Nuangola are observing their 50th wedding anniversary today Saturday June 29th, 2013.

Conrad and Regina were high school sweethearts. Conrad graduating in 1958 and Regina in 1961 from Nanticoke High School.

Conrad is the son of the late Francis and Leocadia Plodwick.

Regina is the daughter of the late Bolish J. Norczyk.

The couple were married in St. Stanislaus Church, Nanticoke by the late Rev. Frank T. Barlik. . Their wedding party consisted of the following attendants:

Honor Attendant and Maid of Honor was the late Patricia McMahon, Bridesmaids were the late Bernadine (Pietrzyk) Smith, Mary (Viti) Josefovicz, Bernadine (Bogdan) Bavitz, and Mary Ann (Dongoski) Spoon.

Best man was David Plodwick.

Ushers were the late Gerald Kulesa, Michael Sesok, Millard Pinarowicz, and Charles Gabel.

Junior Bridesmaid was Claudette (Plodwick) George and Junior Usher was Richard Benimelli.

The couple was invited to the 50th wedding anniversary mass and celebration with His Excellency Most Reverend Joseph C. Bambera on June 16, at St. Peter’s Cathedral to renew their wedding vows.

Conrad and Regina were blessed with one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Dawn Marie) Chalk, son-in law Joseph, and with two precious grandsons Corey and Cameron. In honor of their anniversary, the couple celebrated their 50th anniversary, with a mass at St. Faustina annex site the former St. Mary’s Church, in Nanticoke, where Conrad’s parents were married and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, Conrad and Regina’s mass was offered by their daughter and her family who also offered Sanctuary Lights to give thanks for the love her parents shared thru the years. After mass a dinner with close family members and friends was observed.

The couple vacationed in Ocean City Maryland, Rehoboth Beach and Bethany Beach, and are also planning a family trip to Universal Studios, Sea World, and Disneyworld.

Conrad served in the US Navy and was formerly employed by Bell of PA, by AT&T as a PBX technician, also by Bell Atlanticom as a field engineer. He retired from his own telephone business as an independent field engineer tech and consultant

Regina, a registered nurse, was a supervisor of Utilization Review for all lines of BCNEPA and Medicare business and retired as Medical Policy Coordinator from BCNEPA. She also has retired as a medical review research/account analyst consultant.

She is also life member of WBGH Alumni and

is currently a Councilperson in Nuangola Borough and a member of the Nuangola Planning Commission.
