St. Jude’s Holds SportsAssoc. Banquet

St. Jude School recently held its Sports Association Banquet at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Course Clubhouse to honor the athletes who participated in the interscholastic programs offered by the school.

Association President Carol Wills welcomed the guests followed by the invocation delivered by Rev. Joseph Evanko, Pastor of St. Jude Parish. The evening’s program included acknowledgement of the members of the basketball teams including the sixth grade boys, sixth grade girls, girls junior varsity, girls varsity, and boys junior varsity.

Special recognition was given to Autumn Kaminski for receiving the Kathryn Konopelski Memorial Award, presented to the Most Valuable Eighth Grade Lady Nomad Basketball Player; to Josh Zapusek for receiving the Peter Fiascki Memorial Award, presented to the Most Valuable Player on the Boys Basketball Team; and to Randie Kuhar for receiving the George Overa Memorial Award, presented to the boys team member who exhibited the most hustle in practices and in games. The program concluded with a slide presentation of highlights from the season.
