Words Of Wisdom, Reflection Mark Crestwood Graduation
CRESTWOOD GRADUATES Emily Orrson and Jocelyn Rasmus celebrated after their commencement exercises last Friday evening at the Wachovia Arena. Graduation photos, stories on pages 6 and 7.

Over  two  hundred  and  fifty  students  filed  into  the  Wachovia  Arena  two-

by-two  on  Friday,  June  7   amidst  the  cheers  and  applause  of  their  parents,  friends,

 teachers  and  classmates.   A  sea  of  red  and  white  filled  the  floor  of

 the  Mohegan  Sun  Arena,  the  focal  point  among  the  hundreds  of  people  who

 attended  and  the  stage  that  held  piles  of  red  diplomas.

The  ceremony,  marking  the  culmination  of  what  was,  for  many,  thirteen

 years  in  the  Crestwood  School  District,  was  full  of  words  of

 wisdom  and  reflection  from  administrators  and  fellow  graduates.   

Class  Vice  President,  Sydney  Myers  recanted  the  emotions  of  the

 last   several  months  and  years,  in  preparation  for  this  moment,  thanking

 teachers  and  administrators  for  the  guidance  they  had  provided  over

 the  years  and  encouraging  her  classmates  to  meet  the  challenges  that

 are  now  before  them.      “It  is  no  longer  just  a  dream.”  said

 Myers  “Each  of  us  will  travel  our

 own  path...Our  future  holds  many  challenges,  but  life  was  never  meant  to  be  easy…we  are  the  future  and

 we  are  capable  of  achieving  the  impossible.   We,  the  class  of  2013,  hold

 the  future  in  our  hands.” The  anticipation  in  the  room  was  palpable

 and  Myers  put  those
