Trio Of Crestwood Athletes Place In Cross Invitational

Crestwood track and field teams competed in the James Cross Invitational last Saturday at the Wilkes-Barre Memorial Stadium.

Nick McGuire placed 3rd for Crestwood in the 3200 Run with a time of 10:45.

In the girls competition, lady Comet Kailee Krupski finished 2nd in the 400 Dash with a time of 64.2 and 3rd in the 800 Run in 2:32.9. In the Pole Vault, Ellie Bennet placed 2nd for Crestwood with an effort of 9-6.

In the team standings, the Crestwood boys placed 8th out of 15 teams with 20.5 points and the girls came in 9th place in a field of 14 with 26 points.

Crestwood split with Tunkhannock in a meet contested May 1. The Crestwood girls captured a close 76-72 victory but the boys fell, 110-40.

Results for the Crestwood girls: Idelys Reyes and Kailee Krupski each won two individual events while Maggie Dow, Ellie Bennett and Jarmilowski recorded individual wins.
