Crestwood suffered a 6-5 extra inning loss to host Berwick in Wyoming Valley Conference Division 1 baseball on April 30.

For the Comets, pitcher Brian Markowski registered two doubles at five at bats.

Drew Munisteri went 2-for-3, Anthony Caladie went 2-for-5, Ethan Markowski was 2-for-5 and Curt Yenchik was 2-for-4.

On April 29, Crestwood lost to Lake-Lehman, 6-2.

Justin Rinehimer, Munisteri and Tom Goyne had hits for the Comets.

Host Hazleton edged Crestwood on May 3 to win by a score of 3-2.

For the Comets, Jonathon Wychock and Markowski each had a hit and RBI.

Caladie took the loss for Crestwood.

Crestwood lost to Valley West 3-1 in a girls’ softball game on May 1.

For Crestwood, Kiana Thompson had two singles and Julie Wotherspoon had a double.

Alyssa Davies was the losing pitcher.

Wyoming Area dominated host Crestwood en route to a 9-1 win.

Emily Woolfgang had three singles and scored two runs. Wotherspoon and Ashley Casem each singled for Crestwood.

Davies took the loss for Crestwood.

Crestwood lost to visiting Nanticoke, 9-7, in a slugfest May 3.

The lady Comets were led by Meghan Waite with a grand slam, a double and a pair of singles, Crestwood also got hits from Ashlee Olenginski with two hits and a triple, while Wotherspoon chipped in with three singles and a RBI.

+++++ In girls’ lacrosse, Crestwood lost

to visiting Delaware Valley, 17-4. Lizzy Dessoye led the lady Comets

with three goals. Daniella Callaghan recorded the remaining goal in the loss.

The Crestwood boys lacrosse team fell to host Delaware Valley by a score of 17-4.

Scoring goals for the Comets were Jay Popson with two, while Kyle Morris and Steven Roberts each tallied one in the loss.
