As promised last week, there will be another “substitute preacher” this week. But not just one person –this Sunday, April 14, the “Ladies of the Church” will lead our worship. Camille Daniels, Janice Broyan, Sharon Moyer and Denise Dean have volunteered to share in conducting the service this Sunday. Camille will be the liturgist and Janice will handle the offering and prayer, while Sharon delivers the children’s message and Denise will give the sermon. Your prayers, especially for guidance and spiritual understanding, would be appreciated by the “Ladies” as they prepare for this service and lead it on Sunday.
Worship service on April 21 will be lead by the very capable Dave Horensky and on April 28, we will welcome our Penn Northeast Conference Minister, Rev. Alan Miller. So book your calendars and don’t miss the great diversity of styles and messages.
On Sunday mornings, Sunday School starts at 9 am for group time and then divide up for lessons, games and crafts. At 10:30 am Worship Service on March 24, greeters will be Jim ad Lynne Stewart and our liturgist will be Jim Rinehimer.
Preparations are in the works for our annual Turkey Supper on April 20. Don Eroh has tickets for everyone to sell and Allen Dennis will be looking for people to roast the turkeys. There are posters on the table in the narthex to be hung up around the neighborhoods. We get people from all around our areas, from Wilkes-Barre to Hazleton and Poconos to Berwick and even beyond. They can’t come if they don’t know about it so we need to get the posters out where people will see them. If there aren’t any left, just let Denise know and she will make more (and more!).
