WBRE-TV (NBC) announced that the cast of NBC’s hit show, The Office will make a farewell appearance in the show’s fictional home of Scranton, PA on May 4, 2013.
“The Office” Executive Producer Greg Daniels has not yet released the entire list of cast and crew expected to attend, but release of that information is expected by Thursday April 11, 2013.
The events of May 4 will begin with a mix-and-mingle breakfast at the University of Scranton. A question and answer session with writers from the show will follow at 11am. Tickets are $10 for the the writer’s panel or $15 for the panel and the breakfast.
At 2pm, the City of Scranton will hold a parade featuring cast and crew from The Office, which will be followed by a street festival running until 5pm. Both events are free to the public.
The day will end with a Farewell Celebration at PNC Field beginning at 7pm. It will feature Q&A from the cast, remarks from Executive Producer Greg Daniels, and a sneak peek at the Series Finale, set to air on May 16 on WBRE-TV. The event marks the second timethe cast has made the trek to Scrantonen masse. The first event was “TheOffice Convention” in 2007, whenthousands of fans flocked to Scrantonto meet the cast and crew.
Just as in 2007, the Office WrapParty is a result of a partnershipbetween several organizations, including Times-ShamrockCommunications, the City ofScranton, Lackawanna CountyConvention & Visitors Bureau, Lackawanna County, the state, theUniversity of Scranton, the GreaterScranton Chamber of Commerce, and WBRE-TV.
