The Light is on for You: Welcoming Catholics Back to Confession. On Mondays during Lent, there will be Holy Hour (Exposition and Benediction) and, Father Joe & Father Jerry will be offering the Sacrament of Reconciliation at Saint Jude Church from 5:30 –7 p. m. There are “How to go to Confession” and age appropriate “Examination of Conscious” sheets in the front vestibule of the Church and on our website (under Links). The Lenten Penance Service will be at St. Mary’s on Thursday, March 21, at 6 p. m.

Our parish will begin participating in the Loaves & Fishes Program started by Ann Marie McCauley to benefit the Saint Vincent de Paul Kitchen. Each month we will collect specific items. This month we are collecting Coffee. Donations can be left in boxes at exits or in social hall.

Grand Knight Joe Baratta is requesting Knights to have their feet washed on Holy Thursday. 12 apostles are needed. The next meeting is Wed, April 3, at 8 p. m. in the social hall.

The Knights of Columbus will have their Annual Fish Fry on Good Friday, March 29, 3-7p.m. in the social hall. Meal includes Fish, French fries, green beans, corn, Cole slaw, roll & butter, dessert, and beverage. Cost of the dinner is $9. Tickets will be available after Mass this weekend.

Saint Theresa’s Guild will meet Tuesday, April 9 at 7 p. m. in the dining room. All ladies are invited.

Altar & Rosary Communion Sunday is March 17, at 9 a. m. The next meeting is Mon., March 18, 2013 at 7 p. m. in the meeting room. New members welcome.

The Crochet group meets on Sundays at 6 p. m. in the meeting room and the third Tuesday of the month also at 6 p. m. All are invited. No experience necessary! Basic free instructions at all meetings! Questions, call the office.

The Youth Group the Holy Hour and Confession at St. Jude this Monday. Meet at St. Mary’s at 5p.m. or St. Jude at 5:20 p. m. Meet on Sat, March 23 at 2 p. m. to set up for the Egg Hunt. Next meeting April 7, 6-8 p. m.

The Youth Group will have their Annual Easter Egg Hunt for children up to and including Grade 5, on Saturday, March 23 at 4 p. m. Please gather in the social hall.

Johnson’s Personal Care Home is holding a bake sale this weekend after both Masses. A resident is undergoing cancer treatments. The staff is asking for your support in raising money for her transportation costs & are also looking for volunteers to donate their time (8:30-10:30a.m.) Tuesday through Friday to transport Diane to her radiation treatments at Henry Cancer Center at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre. There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Sunday, March 24 from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Slocum Fire Hall.

There will also be a Blood Drive the same day from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. at Saint Jude Church in loving memory of Sarah Yuscavage. To make an appointment for these drives please call 1.800.RED CROSS.
