DR. SEUSS’ BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED AT ST. JUDE’S -One of the stories heard by the kindergarten class at St. Jude School in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday was Bartholomew and the Oobleck. The story tells how a king was bored by rain and snow and ordered the magician to make something new. He came up with Oobleck, which the kindergarten recreated with just the right combination of cornstarch, water, and finger paint. The students enjoyed playing with this green, sticky, gooey concoction. Shown from left are Audrey Shebelock, Madelynn Krupa, and Saish Kawli.
