Miranda Warunek, a Pittston Area Honor Society member, and member of the Emerald Isle Step Dancers is sponsoring a Dance Benefit for the Pediatric Health Clinic, housed in the former Seton Catholic High School building and sponsored by the Care and Concern Ministries of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Pittston. The Pediatric Health Clinic is operated by a local pediatric physician and an all volunteer staff. The Clinic, which is open the first and third Thursday of each month, provides services that are free and confidential to its clients.
When asked why she wanted to do this project she responded, “since I volunteer at this Clinic I see how much our area needs a Clinic like this, and I love to Irish step dance.”
The performance will be held at the Pittston Area High School Auditorium on April 7, 2013 at 1:30 pm. Money raised will help the Clinic purchase medicine, medical supplies, and other necessary medical items. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Miranda is the granddaughter of the late William and Mary Hasselberger and Elizabeth Warunek, Duryea. She resides in Pittston with her parents Joseph and Patricia Hasselberger Warunek and her sister, Letitia.
