The Crestwood girls dispatched Dallas, 49-33, in a Wyoming Valley Conference game February 5.

Crestwood ended the first half up by five and continued to play build on their lead despite a pesky Dallas defensive effort.

Julia Makowski led the Lady Comets offensively with 17 points.

Teammates Helena Jardine chipped in with six points, Sara Hopkins added five, Sarah Richards, five while Andrea Shipton, Bella Termini, and Riley Magin each tossed in four.

In a big WVC game on February, Crestwood defeated host Hazleton Area, 56-47 to top the top spot in the WVC.

Makowski led Crestwood with a team-high 22 points followed by Jardine with 13 points.

Riley Magin tossed in seven while Termini and Shipton each added four. Richards and Hopkins finished with three points apiece.

The girls suffered a tough 42-41 OOT loss to Loyalsock on February 10 in a non-league game. The game was nip and tuck right throughout.

Hopkins and Makowski paced Crestwood with 15 points each. Sarah Richards added four, and Magin, three. Teammates Kristne Andrews and Jardine finished with a bucket apiece.

boys, handing the Comets a 61-25 loss on February 6.

Jake Antosh scored six points for Crestwood while Mike Palmiero and Evan Knapp each score four. Ryan Petrosky chipped in here points.

Also scoring for the Comets were Kevin Klusewitz, Sean Murphy, Camden Boris, and Corey Chalk with two points apiece.

Crestwood fell to visiting Hazleton Area, 54-43, last weekend.

Boris led the Comets in scoring with 12 points followed by Klusewitz who tossed in 11. Murphy added nine, Palmiero, seven, and Knapp contributed four in the loss.
