St. Jude’s Announces Christmas Mass Schedule

St. Jude’s Catholic Church services are Saturday: 4 p. m. and Sunday: 8:30 a. m. and 11 a. m.

The Christmas Mass schedule is as follows;

Saturday, December 23-Fourth Sunday of Advent

4 p. m., St. Jude 5:30p.m., St. Mary’s

Sunday, December 24-Fourth Sunday of Advent

8:30 a. m. St. Jude 9 a. m., St. Mary’s 11 a. m., St. Jude

Sunday, December 24, Christmas Eve

4 p. m., St. Mary’s and Saint Jude 7 p. m., St. Jude

Midnight St. Mary’sand Saint Jude

Monday, December 25, Christmas Day

8:30 a. m., St. Jude 9:00 a. m.,St. Mary’s 11 a. m., St. Jude

The Parish Office will close December 21 at noon and will be closed from December 22 through December 25. The office will reopen Tuesday, December 26 at 7:30 a. m. TheParish Office will be closed December 29 through January 1. The office will reopen Tuesday, January 2 at 7:30 a. m.

Religious Education for K-th grade will not be held on December 24 and 25 and also on December 31 and January 1. Classes will resume on January 7/8.

Senior Christmas Luncheon-High school students are hosting a luncheon for the Seniors of the Parish on Thursday, December 28 from 12 noon to 2 p. m. in the cafeteria of St. Jude School. It’s an afternoon to meet up with friends, share a meal, song some Christmas carols and have some fun. Please call the Parish Office at 570-474-6315 by Thursday, December 21 to reserve your spot.

St. Mary’s, Dorrance, is offering an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday, December 21 from 6 to 7 p. m., or until confessions are heard.

A Christmas Gathering for college students and young adults ages 18-30ish will be held Thursday, December 21 at 7 p. m. at Luigi’s Restaurant in Mountaintop. The evening begins with dinner followed by Deacon Ryan Glenn who will share a Christmas message from Pope Francis for young adults from 7:30 to 8:15 p.,., and a Q & A from 8:15 to 8:30. All St. Jude Church contributions must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2017 in order for your tax deductible contributions to show on your 2017 statement.
