Food Collection: The church is continuing to collect non-perishable food items for our local families in need. Can goods (veggies, soup, fruit), peanut butter & jelly, Mac and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, crackers, granola, cereal, etc. Thank you!
Religious Education K-6: Saint Mary’s Religious education classes meet on Sundays, immediately following Mass. Questions: Mrs. Heller 570-379-2647.
Winter Weather Advisory: For everyone’s safety, classes will be cancelled if we have severe weather conditions. Parents should use their judgment on attendance based upon their local road conditions in the event classes are not cancelled.
Daily Mass: Again for safety, daily Mass at Saint Mary’s will be cancelled if Crestwood SD delays or cancels classes.
Christmas Eve Family Mass Practice: Students will practice for the Christmas Eve program Sunday, December 17, immediately following religious education classes from 11 a. m.-noon. They will also practice Sunday, December 24, immediately following Mass until 11 a. m. Questions: Mrs. Stec
Pastoral Care: If any parishioner or loved one is hospitalized or homebound and he/she would like a pastoral visit from our clergy, please notify us at 570-868-5855. If a parishioner needs anointing of the sick call the parish office -if after hours call 570-474-6315 and follow the prompts for emergency. Please understand putting a name on the sick list in Church is for prayers; not visits or emergencies.
Advent Confession: Our parish is offering an opportunity for Confession on Thursday, December 21, from 6-7 p. m. Confessions are also heard on Monday evenings at Saint Jude beginning at 7 p. m.

Tax 2017: All donations received by, or postmarked by December 31, will be included in your 2017 statements. Contact Info: Please be sure we have your correct address on file. Also, many families have disconnected their landlines. Please be sure to update that information as well.
Altar Servers Needed: An Altar Server Class is planned in the near future. All youth who have received their First Communion are invited to serve at the Table of the Lord. Families decide the Saturday or Sunday schedule. Please call the parish office to sign up for the class.
Christmas Decorating: We will be decorating the church for Christmas on Sunday, December 17, beginning outside at 11 a. m. For those attending Mass -no need to go home -bagels and muffins will be served in the social hall. All are invited. Jobs for all ages and abilities. Confirmation candidates will receive service credit!!
Oplatki are available in baskets near all exits. Each envelope contains three white and one pink wafer. Suggested donation is $3 per package.
Advent Is Here: We begin the season of Advent to prepare for Christmas. One of the most important things we can do is reconcile with God. Every Monday night of Advent we will expose the Blessed Sacrament and hear confessions beginning at 7 p. m. at St. Jude’s. We ask you do not wait for the last Monday of Advent and consider spacing yourselves out over the three Mondays.
Christmas falls on a Monday. Most people like to celebrate Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve so we have more Masses on December 24. So, the schedule is as follows:
