Theatre at the Grove closes their 2017 season with optimistic, family entertainment with Annie: The Musical. Based on the popular stories of “Little Orphan Annie,” this popular musical is the winner of 7 Tony Awards and is sure to warm your heart. The production runs through December 17th. Performances are held Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 1pm and 8pm, and Sundays at 3pm.

A plucky orphan girl is on a mission to find her parents in 1930s New York City, after being abandoned years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the orphanage, Annie escapes and experiences adventure in The Big Apple, making friends with a billionaire, Franklin D. Roosevelt and a lovable dog, until finally finding her forever home. Annie features popular songs such as Hard Knock Life, Maybe, Tomorrow, and Never Fully Dressed.

Annie is directed by Michael Marone in his last production as Atistic Director of Theatre at the Grove. Music direction is by Tyler Saar and Hollie Major, and choreography is by Jamie Burns.

Starring as the red-headed orphan Annie are Madison Chacko and Rachel Lewis. Alice Y. Lyons takes on the role of the meddling orphanage owner Miss Hannighan while her husband Lou Lyons takes on the role of Daddy Warbucks.

Playing supporting roles are Kristina Toussaint as Grace, Karl Kleist as Rooster, Katie Roarty as Lily, Michael Gallagher as FDR, and Tyler Saar as Bert Healy.

Two casts of orphans rotate performances in Annie and feature Keely Zabresky, Carolyne Wintersteen, Jayden Culp, Sarah Russell, Baylee Makarczyk, Violet Balera, Izzie Sinclair, Rebecca Michalochik, Ava Glynn, Callie Koons, and Emma Christianson as the red cast and Carly Aigeldinger, Mackenzie Ladner, Jenna Sefryn, Sarah Rose Pugliese, Olivia Robatin, and Dallas Huff Izzie Sinclair, Milana Daiute, Gabbi Howe, Izzy Kilgallon, Mia Sperrazza as the white cast.

The ensemble of servants, Hooverville residents, and other characters include Jarrett Gabriel, Carlos Perillo, Brennen Johnson, Abbigail Schultz, Brandon Baker, Maggie Dishong, Chloe Lacoste, Chase Pugh, Karen Steltz, Tyler Ocasio, Shandi Singer, Jamie Burns, Tyler Saar, Matthew Wegener, Maia Bagusky, Gracie Sinclair, Liam Huff, Lauren Merola, and Maddy Adamczyk.
