ST. JUDE KINDERGARTENERS TAKE TRIP TO THE ARTIC-St. Jude Kindergarten students took quite a unique field trip recently, donning hats and gloves to brave the Artic elements. Mrs. Anita Legge’s class attended a virtual trip to the annual polar bear migration in Churchill, Manitoba, Canada—the polar bear capital of the world! Students met with world-renowned scientists and educators, even as Arctic winds shook Tundra Buggies, and polar bears prowled outside. They were given a tour of the scientist’s work buggies and trailers. They also had the opportunity to watch two polar bears have a little wrestling fun between their kelp snack. Students enjoyed the experience, learning far beyond what a book could teach them without leaving the warmth of their classroom!
