Ruth L. Havard, formerly of Maple Drive, Mountain Top, died Nov. 25, 2017, at Wesley Village, Jenkins Twp.
Born April 5, 1927, in the Rolling Hill section of Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late David and Thelma Muchler Williams, she attended GAR High School.
She was formerly employed by American Cigar, Mountain Top.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Mountain Top.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Havard; brothers, the Rev. Arthur Williams and Benjamin Williams; and sisters, Sarah Lehman and Frances Eddy.
Surviving are her children, Lynn and her husband, Joseph Cook, Wyoming; Donald and his wife, Deborah Havard, Mountain Top; and Thomas and his wife, Mary Havard, Alden; grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Ann Cook, and David, Donald, Samuel and Michael Havard; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Adam Havard and Matthew and Gianna Cook; brother, the Rev. Williams and his wife, Bonnie Williams, Shickshinny; sister, Thelma and her husband, Jerome Perch, White Haven; brother-in-law, Elwood Havard, Florida; best friend of 66 years, Ruth Franscisco, Wilkes-Barre; and Jenifer Slabitski, Dallas.
