Presbyterian Sunday School To Go Caroling At Local Senior Center, Nursing Homes

Rev. James Shanley, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Mountain Top, invites all to join in worship Sunday, December 3rd as we celebrate the first Sunday in Advent. Communion will be shared. Sunday School begins at 9:30 with the adult class meeting in the Sanctuary and all ages of children meeting in Fellowship Hall for Praise time and class assignments. The Worship Service begins at 11:00a.m. Pastor Shanley will deliver the message.

A Carry-in Luncheon will be shared after the worship service. Come and celebrate the Reason for the Season with your church family and friends.

The Sunday School will be caroling at the local Senior Center and Nursing Homes on Sat. Dec. 2. at 9:30am. Contact Peggy Spaide for more information.

The Presbyterian Women will be decorating the CHRISMON tree on Wednesday, Dec. 6, beginning at 10am. Afterwards their annual Christmas Party will be held at the home of Audrey Frankenfield. All women are welcome to join the fun.

The Sunday School will have a play practice on Saturday, Dec. 16. The time will be announced.

The combined choirs of Albright UMC and the Presbyterian Church will present a Christmas Cantata on December 10th during worship, and the Children’s Play will be December 17th. The Christmas Season is already packed full of wonderful opportunities to Bless others and to be Blessed!

Please donate your food items weekly to be given to the Mountain Top food bank. Bins are located at the rear of the Sanctuary. The need is great for packaged items, mayonnaise, coffee and sugar and peanut butter. Rice, carrots and red beets are also needed.

2018 dates to purchase bulletin covers to honor or recognize someone are now available. A month’s supply of bulletin covers is $35. If there is a certain month you would like to purchase check with the office for availability. Flowers are also available to purchase for $35 for the vases or a special arrangement for the pedestal. Contact Allison Pekar to schedule flowers or call the church office.

Continue to pray for the president and country! Also pray for our military families and those serving in all branches of the armed forces. If you want a name of your friend or family member added to our prayer list, contact the church offices. Service members are prayed for by name every Sunday! Also we lift up the hurricane victims hit with devastating destruction over the last few weeks. Information to donate through the Presbyterian Disaster Relief fund is available in the Narthex.
