David W. Sulewski Avid Sports Fan
David W. Sulewski, 62, Mountain Top, died Nov. 24, 2017, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre on June 15, 1955, a son of Agnes Duskasky Sulewski of Ashley and the late Anthony Sulewski.
David was a graduate of Hanover Twp. High School and King’s College, where he received his degree in criminal justice. He served as a military policeman with the U. S. Army. David served with the Metro Transit Police in Washington D. C. and as a policeman at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Plains Township. He was later employed as an adjudicator for the Department of Labor’s Bureau of Disability.
David loved hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. He was an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He especially enjoyed his family vacations to Ocean City, N. J. David was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, pop pop and friend. He will be sadly missed by his loving family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony and by his sister, Mary Ann Salvage.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 21 years, Marian Kemmerer Sulewski; step-daughters, Kara Zoeller and her husband, Michael, Mountain Top; and Kristin Valatka and her husband, Robert, Groton, Conn.; grandchildren, Brady, Mikaylee and Michael Zoeller, Keira Kovalchek and Baleigh Valatka; brothers, Anthony Sulewski Jr., Ashley; Michael Sulewski and his wife, Tammy, Ashley; Mark Sulewski and his wife, Kelly, Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Carolyn Kemmerer, Hanover Twp.; brother-in-law, Leonard Kemmerer, Wilkes-Barre; numerous nieces and nephews.
