The weekend Mass schedule at St. Mary’s Church is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.
The Knights of Columbus meeting scheduled for November 1, has been postponed to November 8, at 7:30 p. m., in the social hall.
Roast Beef Dinner: Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, November 4, from 3-7 p. m., for our annual Roast Beef Dinner. Cost is Adults $9, Children (5-12) $4, pre-school-no charge. Sign up sheets for donations, including our wonderful home made desserts can be found in the back of the church. Help Needed: We will be making the picked beets and pickled cabbage on Thursday, November 2, at 8:30 a. m. We will be cleaning the potatoes Friday, November 3 at 6:30 p. m.. The Friday evening potato cleaning will be an adult only activity with food and beverages. Covered dishes welcome.
Teaching Mass: Father Joe has planned a Teaching Mass to be held at Saint Jude Church on Sunday, November 5, at 6 p. m. This Mass is considered a class. All students preparing for Sacraments (2nd, 7th, & 8th grades) and youth group members are expected to attend. Fr. Joe will be breaking down the Mass and explaining each part. This Mass is open to the public!
Fall Fundraisers: St. Mary’s students are selling Gertrude Hawk Candy, Pond Creek Candles, and Thirty-one Gifts. Prepaid orders are due by November 12. Order from any student or pick up brochures in the back of the Church. Please call the parish office if you need assistance. Help to keep our registration affordable for all families.
Children’s Christmas Party: Saint Theresa’s Guild will sponsor a Christmas Party for children of the parish up to and including 10 years old. The party will be held on Sunday, December 3, at 1 PM, in the parish social hall. Sign up sheets are in the foyer of the social hall. Reservation deadline to sign up for the party is Sunday, November 12. Due to the advanced planning and preparations needed for this event late sign ups cannot be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
Turkey Bingo: Saint Theresa’s Guild will host their annual Turkey Bingo on Sunday, November 12, in the parish social hall. Doors open at noon. Early Bird at 1 p. m. Kitchen will be open. Entrance: $2 donation. Specials, door prizes, & raffles!
Saint Theresa’s Guild asks members to donate $5 worth of lottery tickets for a lottery wreath raffle. Tickets are due to Elaine Polak or Molly (office) by November 7.
Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets: Our parish in conjunction with Saint James Church in Hobbie will be assembling Thanksgiving Dinner baskets for local families who can use some assistance this year. Needed items include: stuffing, canned vegetables, gravy, noodles, box desserts, cranberry sauce, apple sauce, juice or dried drink mixes, and/or any other item typical of a Thanksgiving dinner or to make turkey soup. Turkeys and gift cards are also appreciated. Boxes will be in church to November 12.
Help Needed: Help us help our neighbors. Please call the parish office if you or someone you know could benefit from a Dinner Basket this year. Names and contact information are needed by November 13. All names are confidential. Boxes are identified by a number. No names are ever used.
Altar & Rosary Christmas Party: The annual Christmas Party will be enjoyed at Sand Springs, Drums, on Sunday, November 19, at 1 p. m. Please contact Pat Osisek at 570-379-3107 to make your reservation or for more information.
