Mary’s Religious education class Fall Fundraisers-Religious education students are selling Gertrude Hawk Candy, Pond Creek Candles, and Thirty-one Gifts. Prepaid orders are due by November 12. All would make great gifts for parents, godparents, teachers, hostess, etc. Many items to choose from for every budget. Order from any student or pick up brochures in the back of the Church. Please call the parish office if you need assistance. Help to keep our registration affordable for all families.
Trunk or Treat: The Community Outreach Group is sponsoring a Trunk or Treat on Monday, October 30, from 6-8 p. m., in the parking lot. Parishioners are encouraged to decorate their vehicle and pass out treats to our young ghosts and goblins.
Roast Beef Dinner: Mark your calendars and join us on Saturday, November 4, from 3-7 p. m., for our annual Roast Beef Dinner. Cost is Adults $9, Children (5-12) $4, preschool-no charge. Sign up sheets for donations can be found in the back of the church, including our wonderful home made desserts.
Turkey Bingo will be held on Sunday, November 12, at 1p.m. Doors open at noon. Tickets and Lottery Calendars are available from any member.
Spaghetti Supper for Bill Lukashewski is scheduled Sunday, October 22, 1-5 p. m. -Saint Mary’s Social Hall-Faithful parishioner Bill Lukashewski is battling Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. A Spaghetti Supper -Basket Raffle is planned to help defray the mounting medical expenses. Donation is $8. Take out available. Donations are being accepted (Desserts, Baskets, Raffle items, etc). Saint Theresa’s Guild and Altar & Rosary are collecting monetary donations to be given to Bill Lukashewski as their support of the benefit on October 22. Members can bring their donations to the next meeting, or the may be placed in the offertory basket marked accordingly.
Youth Group is for students in seventh grade and older. Focus is on the 3 S’s: Spiritual, Service, and Social; what they are, and how they come together for us on a daily basis. Young adult topics are discussed.
The next meeting will be held on Sunday, October 15, from 6-8 p. m., in the dining room. On the agenda: we will be sorting hats, scarves, and gloves for those in need. We will also be distributing and reviewing tips for “how to journal” for our Confirmation candidates. Dinner will be provided (pizza and wings by request). Parents are welcome at every meeting.
