St. Jude Slates Kickoff Night For Youth Ministry
SAINT JUDE STUDENTS TO HOST BINGO-The Saint Jude School Chapter of the Pennsylvania Junior Honor Society will host a Bingo Fundraiser Sunday, October 15th. Proceeds benefit the work of its 7th and 8th grade members who will be conducting experiments, logging scientific data, and traveling to Penn State for a state-wide competition. Prizes include but are not limited to Coach and Vera Bradley handbags, Ray Ban glasses, American Girl prizes, and gift certificates from Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and The Woodhouse Day Spa. Doors open at 12:30pm with Bingo beginning at 1:30pm. Twenty games and four specials will be played for $1 each. Refreshments include: pierogis, nachos and cheese, sloppy joe’s, pizza, halushki, hot dogs, popcorn and beverages. St. Jude’s Catholic Church services are Saturday: 4 p. m. and Sunday: 8:30 and 11 a. m. New parish office hours are Monday-Thursday: 7:30 a. m.-3 p. m.; Friday and Saturday: closed and Sunday: 9:30 a. m.-12:30 p. m.

St. Jude School PJAS will host a Vendor Bingo on Oct. 15 in the school cafeteria. Doors open at 12:30 and games start at 1:30. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door, Call the school at 570-474-5803 to make a reservation.

A kickoff night for high school Youth Ministry will be held on Sunday, October 22 following the 6 p. m. Teen Mass. There will be games, moon bounces, great food and music. Check out our table with upcoming events for high school students. Cost is $10.

Little Lambs sessions will begin in mid-October and will be offered each week on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-10:30 a. m. Children from birth to 5 are invited. Program includes Bible stories, crafts, playtime and snack.

A Grief Support Ministry Seminar-All who minister to the bereaved or desire to do so are invited to a day long seminar on the topics related to grief support ministry.
